Water Color Trilogy Reflection
1. I would say the ink designs I added to the water color is the strongest part. It stands out because the background (the water color) is a light color and there is a large amount of contrast. It was done cleanly and well.
2. I would say I could have worked on the project a little more, even though I was absent.
3. The theme of these is growth and decline. Sunrise to sunset. The past is represented by the light of a sunrise, the beginning. The present is represented by a strong orange representing the midday sun. The future is represented by the light of a sun set. Showing life coming to an end, etc.
4. I choose to use the same background in different tones in all of mine. I choose to do this to show the beggining to the end. Sunrise to sunset.
5. I personally prefer other mediums to watercolor. I felt like I didn't have the control that I wanted that I can achieve in acrylic. It is easier to clean up.
6. I learned that water color is a hard paint to control, and takes quit a bit of time to master it. It is easy to clean up compared to other paints but it is hard to work with.
7. I started witht the first painting and went with a fading to a strong tone of pigment. The last painting is the darkest. I added ink because that is a traditional thing I do.
8 . I would start out with an easier medium. Leave the water color towards the end, because it is harder to control in my opinion.
